Outdoor Cap and JUNK participate in Salvation Army's Magical Toy Drive
On Wednesday, November 30, Outdoor Cap and JUNK team members were able to participate in a $1000 shopping spree for new toys for the Salvation Army Magical Toy Drive in partnership with KNWA. Our lobbies in the 1201 building and the JUNK building hosted public drop-off spots for donations of new unwrapped toys. Outdoor Cap and JUNK joined the main sponsors this year and are grateful for the opportunity to help locally.
The Salvation Army Magical Toy Drive makes the holiday season a little brighter by gifting presents to underprivileged children. The Outdoor Cap team members were paired up, each given a cart, and the spree was split between them. Dustin Boyd’s group tried to average $10-12 a toy to optimize the number of children that could receive a gift this Christmas.
Dustin said, “It's great to work somewhere with the capacity to give back to the community with resources. We don’t just sell hats. We help improve the value of the community around us. The toy drive is an important reminder that there are a lot of people that still need help.”
