On Saturday, October 22nd, Outdoor Cap hosted its first OC Tailgate to honor its employees and their families with a fun afternoon full of food and football.
The event was held at the Bentonville campus from 11:00-2:00. Executives of Outdoor Cap grilled hamburgers, hot dogs, and bratwursts for nearly 400 attendees.
Activities included a 52-foot blow-up obstacle course, face painting, pumpkin decorating, Giant Jenga, and a cook-off competition. Thousands of dollars in cash and prizes, including 3 TVs and an iPad Pro, were raffled off throughout the afternoon.
Students from from Bentonville West High School’s yearbook staff volunteered their time to help us make this event possible.
The OC Tailgate will serve as our 2016 autumn event. Each season we strive to achieve at least one big task that helps maintain our corporate camaraderie and boost team morale. This summer, Outdoor Cap employees were surprised when a food truck showed up on campus and everyone was treated to a free lunch.
Every Holiday Season, we host a Christmas Lunch in our warehouse. Team members get to sit down to a holiday feast together and take a few hours to visit, participate in activities, and play a part in giving back to those less fortunate in our community.
In January, we have our Kickoff Party to start the year off with a bang! Here, we present our projected sales and areas of focus for the upcoming year to the company over breakfast. Of course, we also make time for a few jokes and skits as well.
Our elected Culture Committee is working to develop a new and exciting event for the springtime, as well as several smaller endeavors to sprinkle in throughout the year.
All of this is done in an effort to better serve our communities and our stakeholders. Outdoor Cap was built on family values almost 40 years ago, and we work each day to keep that spirit alive and well.
