Inclusion & One Walk

On Saturday, October 13th, there were two charity walks in the Northwest Arkansas area that directly involved some of our OC families—The Down Syndrome Connection (DSC) of Northwest Arkansas Inclusion Walk and the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) One Walk.

Team Member of the Quarter

Every 3 months, our Distribution Centers (DCs) elect a team member who went above and beyond for his or her teammates and customers.

Winners are chosen based on adherence to safety initiatives, productivity, reliability, attendance, quality of work, and attitude.

The winners receive a gift card, framed certificate, and OC T-shirt, and their own street sign, which gets hung above an aisle in the DC. The 3rd quarter winner for 2018 was Raquel Perez-Pria.IMG_0561

Customer Service Week Activities

Customer Service Week was observed from October 1st through October 5th. At Outdoor Cap, we celebrated with an entire week’s worth of activities and community service projects.

OC employees were treated to free breakfast, ice cream, and pizza throughout the week. Preston Toombs won the pumpkin carving contest. We played Minute to Win It games, dressed up for Spirit Day, and had daily drawings for prizes including a NASCAR trip. We also sent volunteer teams to the Samaritan Community Garden, Sunshine School and Development Center, and to the homes of some elderly community members.

OC Tailgate

On Saturday, October 13th, the Culture Committee hosted our third annual OC Tailgate for employees and their families. We served lunch, watched football, played games and fellowshipped with one another. There were activities for children including blow-up obstacle courses, and pumpkin painting. We gave away thousands of dollars in door prizes.

Students from the Bentonville West Ladies Soccer Team volunteered to help us make this even possible.

Taco Friday

On Friday, October 12th, we brought in a taco bar for our Bentonville DC employees to say thank you and celebrate all their hard work over the past few months!
