Outdoor Cap's New Focus on Event Management

One of the best ways to get in front of our customers is by attending annual trade shows for each of the markets we participate in. We visit dozens of events and trade shows across the nation each year. These events include the PPAI Expo, ASI Chicago and ASI Orlando, NBS, SHOT Show, ABCA, and many more.

Outdoor Cap has evaluated its event presence, and we have decided to refocus our efforts by providing a position dedicated to overseeing all of the events we attend. After much evaluation, our first step in accomplishing a more effective trade show presence is by hiring Tracy Spearman as our new Event Coordinator & Visual Merchandiser.

Ben Roberts, Senior Vice President of Marketing said, “The decision to hire Tracy is part of our concentrated effort to make the 40 industry trade shows we attend each year an integral part of our everyday strategy as a company. The significance of a face-to-face experience with our customers offers unprecedented value to Outdoor Cap. We’re committed to making these events as worthwhile to customers as they are to us.”

As Event Coordinator, Tracy will ensure successful execution of corporate trade shows, sponsorship programs, meetings, and roadshows.

If you attend our events, you will likely see Tracy in and around our booth as well as on the show floor. She will be charged with making sure Outdoor Cap is well represented in serving our customers to the best of its ability.

In her Visual Merchandiser role, she will be responsible for physical display planning, quality assurance, and third-party relationships.

Tracy comes to us after serving as the Director of Event Operations at the Holiday Inn Northwest Arkansas Convention Center in Springdale, Arkansas for over 2 years. She holds a B.S. in Hospitality and Restaurant Management from the University of Arkansas.

“I am very eager to develop our events into a true product and brand experience. The industry shows we attend each year allow us to learn more about our existing customers’ needs. They also provide us with ample opportunity to illustrate the importance of headwear to potential customers and show them what it means to work with Outdoor Cap,” said Tracy.

You can meet Tracy at the PPAI Expo and SHOT Show in January. Please join us in welcoming her to Outdoor Cap and her new role.
