Chili Cook-Off

On Wednesday, February 21st from 11:00-1:00, the Employee Emergency Committee held our annual Chili Cook-Off. Each year, the cook-off raises money for the EE fund. With a minimum $3.00 donation, Outdoor Cap employees were able to chow down on the chili of their choosing.

This year, we had over 80 people participate and attend. Twelve entries were sorted into three categories and randomly selected judges taste-tested and judged each category accordingly. The winners were as follows:

  • Best Deer: Steven Jurgensmeyer
  • Best Mild: Mia Standard
  • Best Other: Janelle Lowe

Dozens of employees brought sides, desserts, hot dogs, etc. We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to everyone who donated food, money, or time to Outdoor Cap families facing difficult times.

Street Clean Up

On Friday, February 23rd, six volunteers from Outdoor Cap spent a few cold, rainy hours in the morning cleaning up our adopted street in Downtown Bentonville near the square.OC-StreetCleanup.jpg

  • Thursday: Crazy Socks Day
  • Friday: PJ DayIMG_0973.jpg

JUNK Athletes

Rosie Mancari is a Team USA Olympic Snowboarder and JUNK affiliate. Unfortunately, she ruptured her Achilles during training at PyeongChang and was unable to compete in the Winter Games, but she did get to stay in South Korea, represent JUNK, and cheer on the rest of her teammates.

Matt Lamb, one of our JUNK employees, placed second in the Valentine’s 8K, putting him in second place overall for the Run Bentonville series.
